As a woman, you have the right to dignity, autonomy, and security. Unfortunately, many men who suffer from their own insecurities and misguided beliefs resort to abusing women to assert their dominance. Moreover, abuse is not limited to sexual or physical abuse. Verbal insults, such as constant yelling and badgering, constitute a subtle and powerful form of emotional abuse that can be far more damaging than physical or sexual abuse because it beats down a woman’s morale and self-confidence. I have helped women overcome their problems by providing one-to-one, compassionate, and nonjudgmental counseling as well as safety planning and service referrals.
